Not a printed flyer — this board moves with the market. Below we explain what “spot” means and how our prices follow it.
Live sell prices from The Coin Shop in Brighton — the same board customers see at the counter. When worldwide gold and silver markets move, these numbers move with them (plus our product premiums).
If you have ever wondered why bullion prices change all day long — this is the short, plain-English answer.
Spot is the current market price for one troy ounce of pure metal (gold or silver) in the big global commodities market — not a special “shop only” number we invent each morning. Think of it as the wholesale heartbeat of gold and silver that dealers, refiners, and investors watch worldwide.
Spot is set by continuous trading on major metal markets (often summarized through feeds dealers trust, such as Kitco-linked data). Millions of ounces change hands; the “last” traded level becomes the spot most shops reference.
Like stocks, metals trade nearly all day. News, currency moves, interest rates, and supply/demand push spot up or down — sometimes a few cents, sometimes dollars — in real time while markets are open.
Our sell prices are built from live spot + our premium for each product (Eagle, Maple, bar, round, etc.). When spot moves, this board updates so you are not looking at yesterday’s flyer.
Spot is for pure metal content. A Silver Eagle, Maple Leaf, or branded bar usually costs spot plus a premium — that covers minting, shipping, brand demand, and the cost of running a shop. Some products trade higher above spot than others; that is normal.
Bottom line: if gold or silver “goes up” on the news, you should expect this board to rise too. If the market dips, sell prices here typically ease as well. Refresh the page during the day if you are watching a big move — this is live pricing, not a static printout.

This board is connected to live market data. During trading hours you may see prices shift as spot moves — that is expected.
Spot is the current global price for one ounce of pure gold or silver. Dealers use it as a baseline. A finished coin or bar almost always costs more than raw spot because of minting, brand, and retail costs (the premium).
Spot trades throughout the day. When gold or silver markets move, our sell prices — which are based on spot plus premium — update too. That is a feature of a live board, not a mistake.
Usually not exactly. The board shows our sell price for a specific product. Spot is the pure-metal reference; we add a premium that depends on the product (for example, an American Silver Eagle often carries a higher premium than a generic round).
Many products are available in-store and through our online channels. For the latest in-shop sell prices, use this board. For pickup, special orders, and stock questions, call or chat with Liberty first at (810) 819-2368 — she can transfer you if a person is needed.
We can often special-order. Smaller orders may include a $25 SOF (under 300 oz silver or 10 oz gold). We will confirm total and timing before you commit.
